DeSantis is a pawn (whether knowingly or unwittingly remains to be seen) in a bigger strategy - where the controlled opposition (Rubert Murdoch, Bush Dynasty, Paul Ryan & Crew, etc..aka "Uniparty Repubs") all pool funds to sponsor his run for Presidency. Why? Well, they don't want Trump in and the best way to do that is split the vote.

DeSantis is the candidate designed to appeal to WOMEN - while their husbands are voting TRUMP, these women will vote DeSantis because he seems "kinder, gentler, and uses nice pretty words unlike Trump".
