The name "Smartmatic" sounds somehow familiar, as if I've seen it years ago, and it's got those Brits running it, so it's not an ordinary Vz. company. But if it is in fact a Vz. company, that's vary fishy. Nor do we want British peers running our elections. We fought a couple wars to get away from that.

Very strange. Don't expect many Republican (or non-diverse) winners in LA County.

That's the purpose of it, to cause problems.

Ortega is one of the least awful governments in the area. All they've been able to complain about is some petty corruption. He's not the Daniel Ortega of old, but a fat and happy capitalist. Nicaragua was peaceful and had a social security system, which was under funded so he reduced payments a bit, then all hell broke loose from these callow student agitators.

I'm no expert on what's going on there, but this is what I see. Honduras thru Mexico are pretty screwed up, but Nica, Costa Rica and Panama are pretty stable. I am sure the leftists would like to destabilize the southern part of Central America.

I read that the IG only investigates government employees. So if he left government employment, that might in some way reduce the IG's mandate.

And the IG is continuing to investigate other things, not sure what.

Other than this, I don't know why he's there. He surely doesn't deserve his pension after "no no, we'll stop him" but he probably should have some free and secure accommodations instead.

For every one of her, there are 100 who are relieved to see that all of Lexington isn't leftist like that and still feel welcome to visit Lexington, while avoiding that restaurant.

There's an entrenched culture of coming illegally, According to a story in "The New Yorker" very liberal magazine, some illegal from Huehuetenango, Guatemala got separated from their kid and was calling around trying to locate the kid. Eventually they found that a former neighbor in Huehuetenango who had already made their illegal visit to the USA knew just who to call in our bureaucracy to track their kid down. They're experts, connoisseurs of all the nooks and crannies in our immigration system.

Insidious. A culture that needs to be stopped.
