>I think I know why Shappley came out to CBS and showed his face, the FBI, DOJ and even congress were either ignoring him or keeping it secret. And even if he had protection as a whistleblower, he could be disappeared and no one would know if he freaked out and hid. This way coming out publicly he cannot be taken out, without suspecting the FBI and DOJ. Its not easy to do a hit job when everyone knows the story and who would have an interest on vanishing him. I’m sure his lawyer recommended doing this. Why on CBS, because a lot more people would see it. Good move for protection.
