My Dad would be 110 years old tomorrow. WWII battlefield commissioned Captain, Veteran of Korea "police action," retired in '63, and other than discussing where the movies about it all either got it right or wrong …didn't have much to say about it. I know he was in North Africa on D Day, and he had a funny story about a "bleeding tank" that got hit in Italy while strapped down tight with bottles of wine, and he didn't think much of Patton making his platoon shave and wear a tie in combat. His ashes were scattered on the range at Fort Lewis in 1993 in front of a great many loved ones.

It's all been done, sorry you missed it. The US government on the elected federal level has been incrementally taken under control since 2017. The bureaucracies were a little harder and that is what too most of the time. Then the State governments had to be cleaned up, which took substantial time -and they just swept out the municipal governments.
