just because in your social group you don't use it doesn't mean that other people do not.
It's a perfectly good word.
I understand that if it's being spammed or misused or over used it can seem like it's an operational word, but as far as discussions of politicians, and the way that cities and municipalities are, it's almost a necessary word to describe the personality type of politicians and activists.

When describing politicians and activasts, it's a perfect word to use.

I just take them at their word unless they label it sarcasm I don't give them any leeway. I review the post as it is, and don't guess as to their intention.
