It's foolish to suggest that because people have studied something for 50 years ultimate truth has been cemented in stone where no one can come along and reveal the real truth about it. Everything we do here is based on knowing truth has been hidden from us and it's our job to bring out what should be known. It reminds me of an old philosophy professor who suggested students of today aren't going to change what 'great thinkers of the past' have concluded long ago. It's an ironic fallacy because truth is based on truth, not apparent truth that is fed to us for 50 years. You may have the truth on this.. but your truth may be based on information that was not true at all.. and that's where new thinkers come along proposing what could ultimately wind up being the truth that was there all along. We have to be open to the fact that we've been lied to about many things. Thought most here realized that.
