What is the meaning of this song?

It sounds cultish.

White Room

[Verse 1]

In a white room with black curtains near the station

Black roof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings

Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes

Dawn light smiles on you leaving, my contentment

[Chorus]

I'll wait in this place where the sun never shines

Wait in this place where the shadows run from themselves

[Verse 2]

You said no strings could secure you at the station

Platform ticket, restless diesels, goodbye windows

I walked into such a sad time at the station

As I walked out, felt my own need, just beginning

[Chorus]

I'll wait in the queue when the trains come back

Lie with you where the shadows run from themselves

[Instrumental Break 02:15-02:39]

[Verse 3]

At the party, she was kindness in the hard crowd

Consolation for the old wound now forgotten

Yellow tigers crouched in jungles in her dark eyes

She's just dressing, goodbye windows, tired starlings

[Chorus]

I'll sleep in this place with the lonely crowd;

Lie in the dark where the shadows run from themselves

Military Intelligence teaches Russian.

When I joined the Army in 1979, the recruiter asked me if I wanted to learn Russian and become a spy. They have Russian immersion language schools.

I said no thanks, I had a hard enough time trying to learn German in High School.

Russian was the only language that I was offered but they do have other languages that they teach to recruits.

Have no idea what they are teaching now.
