>This development came in less than three years of DARPA’s Air Combat Evolution (ACE) program, which progressed from controlling simulated F-16s flying aerial dogfights on computer screens to controlling an actual F-16 in flight.

Ain't we gibbin F16s to Ukraine pilots with way too little flight time in 'em to go up against RUS pilots in better planes?

Hmmm. Might they [UKR] try and get some AI hep wid their flying?

On a side note: Saw a vid on Chute said the F16s they sending on habs a 30-35mile radar cap. The RUS planes got 60-65mile range. Guess who's gonna fire first shot.

Also the RUS planes can carry 2x the missiles an F16 can.

They could secretly upgrade the old F16s with up-to-date radar.

In a dogfight, if they (F16s) were lucky enuf to get close to the RUS birds, they would have an advantage but the RUS pilots would be stupid to let themselves get inside the 30-35mi radar range of the F16s. Just need to fire missiles at 60miles and stay out of range. I heard the F16's missiles only have maybe a 40mile range, 5 miles beyond max radar lock. Guess we'll see.
