Could be hijacked programming. Lots of games, like Black Ops series and Battlefield 3 campaigns specifically eluded to what was coming.
Black Ops 1 detailed the main protagonist (player) being programmed to kill Americans, but was interrupted by Reznov (A Russian) or perhaps in our case Q (no correlation).
Black Ops 2 (Hillary was President in 2025), game was about military trying to stop collapse of US and The West (alliance with CCP).
Black Ops 3 (Digital Control and manipulation? That campaign was hard to follow)
Battlefield 3 Campaign was FULL of crazy shit.
