Notice how everything on the internet started out as free - now you have to sign in & have an account most of the time. We are never in control. Everything we do online can be shut down or denied anytime someone else decides/wants. They can change the program, change the terms, change the results, deny access. Anything they choose.
Think about how many aspects of your life you have now given dominion over to a program & whoever controls it. Your music? Security? Thermostat? Business?
What about your private information?
Do you rely on a machine to tell you when and how to live? How many steps to take every day?
You can no longer apply for visas or jobs much of the time unless it is online.
Contactless payments really mean “no cash”.
Seen the stores in airports where you need a working, funded debit card to get access? Your cash won’t help you there.
Everything we do digitally is traceable/trackable.
Yet you could wake up tomorrow and your bank account could be empty or no longer exist. Did you go “paperless” like they urged every time you went online?
Who is taught to read a map these days?
How many phone numbers do you recall?
You carry a surveillance device with you at all times because….you are ‘the mark’.
Your thoughts are now regarded as “cognitive infrastructure” and they want to know every single thought you have for your digital avatar/profile.
Why?
Today we can still spot CGI and tell the difference between what is real and what is fake.
Not for much longer.
Wean yourself off the machines.
