The Biggest Lie of Modern Medicine

If you can grow it in your backyard, ferment it in your kitchen, or buy it OTC, then it either doesn't work or is potentially so dangerous that we must ridicule, or worse, criminalize its use (w/o prescription) for "the greater good" (= $$$ in fewer & tighter hands)*.

I suspect that one of the early justifications for making drugs available only by prescription was to prevent the misuse of antibiotics leading to treatment resistant bacterial infections. But, this is no longer valid justification because 70% antibiotics produced for the US go to livestock to treat infections caused by industrial Big Agro (eg feeding livestock with monoculture corn/grain while being confined in tight quarters), a highly irresponsible endeavor likely causing many treatment resistant bacteria.
