The Q Foundation for Kids® may receive Grant Applications at any time. Applicants for Ordinary Grants must complete and submit their Grant Application to the Grant Review Committee. The Grant Review Committee will receive and review all grant applications to determine their compliance with the Grant Request Policy promulgated by the Board of Trustees. The Committee will forward all applications, along with its recommended action(s), to the Board of Trustees. The Secretary of the Board of Trustees will chair the Grant Review Committee.

A young burn victim was transported via air ambulance from Panama to Shriners Hospital in Galveston, TX.
The purpose of the Q Foundation for Kids® is to perpetuate the financial support and funding to facilitate access to the premium quality medical care available through the Shriners Children’s™ health system. This support includes, but is not limited to the transportation, temporary housing, meals and sundry expenses of patients and accompanying guardians, under the care of, or being evaluated for care at the Shriners Children’s™ and all affiliated clinics and outreach facilities. The overriding purpose is to facilitate and enhance the medical experience of “our kids and their families.”
Because of the family approach of the Q Foundation for Kids®, children who are patients at the Shriners Children’s™ are kept together with their families when possible during times of hospital stays. Additionally, the Foundation provides funds to Shriners Children’s™ to transport medical staff to outreach facilities as well as providing for capital medical equipment needs. This group determined they would be able to raise additional money to support children by becoming a 501(c)(3) organization. International travel for patients is also considered through the Q Foundation. These are important needs of children when they are facing some of their most difficult times.
As the Q Foundation for Kids® continues to grow through your generous donations, more and more lives are touched. Shriners Hospitals for Children provide expert pediatric medical care for children from around the world, and the Q Foundation is there to assist with patient and family needs.
