Catholics and Non-Catholics Join Forces to Stand Up to LA Dodgers Blaspheme vs. Jesus Christ
The LA Dodgers have invited a group of anti-Catholic drag queens called the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” to their June 16th Pride Night to present them with the Community Hero Award. The group calls itself an “Order” and takes considerable delight in mocking Catholic customs and traditions by dressing up as nuns, calling themselves “sisters” and their leader “abbess” and quoting the Bible verse, “go and sin no more” and changing it to “go and sin some more.”
The group expresses on their website that they “are a leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns” and that they “use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit.” Yet they are blind to their own bigotry. Catholics around the world and especially those local to LA should be outraged by the public acceptance and celebration of a group that openly mocks and blasphemes the Sacred Traditions of the Catholic Church. If you are a Catholic or Christian and take your faith seriously, you cannot let such an offense occur against the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Even non Catholics have been speaking up.
A rabbi recently wrote an article expressing his deep love for baseball and God and sadness over the Los Angeles Dodger’s decision to welcome an anti-Catholic hate group. Rabbi Michael Barclay is saddened by the decision of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Major League Baseball (MLB) to honor a group called “The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” which he rightly describes as an anti-Catholic fringe group known for promoting hate against Catholics and the Catholic Church. He criticized the Dodgers and MLB for inviting and then re-inviting this group, stating that it shows a lack of values and disregard for Catholic fans or any fan with a moral compass. “It is remarkable that this leader of the Jewish community,” said General Flynn, Senior Advisor to Catholics for Catholics, “that someone not even Catholic has more courage to speak up than some in Catholic leadership itself.”

The response has been overwhelming in a show of support from Americans who see this not just as an attack on one religion but on the American principle of respect for all religions.
Different groups, among them, Catholics for Catholics, America Needs Fatima, Catholic Vote, Church Militant and others, have come together to organize a prayerful, peaceful procession to LA Dodger Stadium on the day of the game, June 16th. All are welcome to join this event in reparation for the offenses committed against our Lord Jesus Christ and against all Christians by the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.”
