Proof of LACK of systemic racism on their own stage even as the phrase comes out of The View hosts' mouths.

_____

Re Senator Tim Scott's"the [Black person's success in America]: "Yesterday's exception IS today's rule" schooling of The View hosts, urging them and others to stop discouraging Black youth by repeating over and over that their likelihood of success is the exception rather than the rule:

Scott responded. “So, the fact of the matter is, we’ve had an African American president [Obama], African American vice president [Kamala). We’ve had two African Americans be secretaries of state [Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell]. In my home city, the police chief is an African American who’s now running for mayor. The head of the highway patrol for South Carolina is an African American.”

It is notable that 3 of the 6 people on that stage have an African American percentage of more than half of their heritage (Whoopi, Sen. Scott & Sunny*).

Those 3 Black panelists make up 50% of that 6 person panel.

The last census (2020) counted Black Americans at 12.4% of the population.

So 12.4% of the population (Blacks) are represented in a panel on TV where they make up 50% of the panel.

And the kicker:

Despite the displaying the opposite on very set on which they sit, two of the three Blacks (Whoopi and Sunny) inexplicably continue to insist:

  1. There is "systemic racism" in America (on a panel where 50% of the panelists are Black despite making up only 12.4% of the population), and

  1. That Senator Tim Scott (a U.S. Senator) and Justice Clarence Thomas (a Supreme Court Justice) [both of whom are direct descendants of enslaved persons (unlike Obama or Kamala)] "just don't understand" systemic racism.

Also of note: Of the 4 Blacks discussed, despite all 4 having humble childhood environments, all finished college and two graduated from prestigious law schools (University of Notre Dame Law School - Sunny, and Yale Law School - Justice Thomas).

Perhaps Sunny and Whoopi (and other View hosts) can look at these actual facts before repeating their next "America is systemically racist" lie.

  • Sunny tweeted: "My mother is Puerto Rican & my father African American. History lesson - Puerto Ricans are Spanish, Indian & African."

Sunny has also described herself as "Afro-Latina."

"Joy Behar, who regularly takes Mondays off from the show, was not present, but Sen. Scott still took time to address her recent claim that [Scott] — along with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas — "doesn't get" what it means to be black in America."
