Known for promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories, far-right former Fox news pundit Tucker Carlson describes Zelenskyy as 'rat-like,' 'shifty' and 'a persecutor of Christians' in his new show on Twitter

Tucker Carlson trafficked into explicitly antisemitic tropes on the debut of his Twitter show, invoking undeniable dogwhistles against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy while offering a full-throated endorsement of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The former Fox News host described the Jewish Zelenskyy as "sweaty and rat-like, a comedian turned oligarch, a persecutor of Christians, a friend of Blackrock" and later described him as "our shifty, dead-eyed Ukrainian 'friend' in a tracksuit." He also posited without evidence that Ukraine may have been responsible for the explosion of a Soviet-era dam in Ukraine's southern Kherson region.

Carlson launched his project on Twitter, the social media platform that has increasingly platformed similar antisemitism since Elon Musk's takeover earlier this year. Both Carlson and Musk have notably targeted George Soros, accusing the Jewish billionaire of hating humanity and plotting to destroy Western civilization.

He is just the latest far-right figure to invoke explicitly antisemitic dog whistles about Zelenskyy, with others having deemed him a globalist and Soros-backed since Russia first invaded Ukraine last year.

Carlson's anti-Zelenskyy remarks come weeks after Fox News unceremoniously fired him amid a lawsuit from a Jewish former producer on his show, who alleged his production fostered a culture of antisemitism that included slamming an Israeli employee for taking the High Holy Days off from work.

Bill Barr Confirms Rep. Jamie Raskin Lied About Biden Family Corruption Investigation

“It’s not true. It wasn’t closed down,” William Barr told The Federalist on Tuesday in response to Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin’s claim that the former attorney general and his “handpicked prosecutor” had ended an investigation into a confidential human source’s allegation that Joe Biden had agreed to a $5 million bribe. “On the contrary,” Barr stressed, “it was sent to Delaware for further investigation.”

Former Attorney General Barr went on the record with The Federalist following statements Raskin made to the press Monday afternoon. Soon after attending a closed-door meeting with House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer and the FBI — at which lawmakers reviewed the FD-1023 form summarizing a CHS’s detailed allegations that then-Vice President Joe Biden agreed to accept money from a foreign national to affect policy decisions — Raskin spoke to the media.

“What I learned,” Raskin claimed, “was that Attorney General Barr named Scott Brady, who was the U.S. attorney for Western Pennsylvania, to head up a group of prosecutors who would look into all the allegations related to Ukraine.”

“After Rudy Giuliani surfaced these allegations,” Raskin continued, Brady’s team looked into the FD-1023 and “in August determined that there was no grounds to escalate from an initial assessment to a preliminary investigation,” and so “they called an end to the investigation.”

The Maryland Democrat then reiterated his claim that this was “under Attorney General William Barr and his handpicked prosecutor Mr. Brady, who was a Trump appointee.” “They were the ones who decided” there were no further grounds for investigation, Raskin’s claimed, adding: “If there is a complaint, it is with Attorney General William Barr, the Trump Justice Department, and the team that the Trump administration appointed to look into it.”

Raskin would then double down on his claim that it was Barr and Brady who closed down the investigation, issuing a press release saying that in August 2020, Barr and his “hand-picked U.S. Attorney” signed off on closing an assessment into the FD-1023 form that memorialized the CHS’s claims.

But that’s just not true, according to the former attorney general. Instead, the confidential human source’s claims detailed in the FD-1023 were sent to the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office for further investigation, according to Barr.

That, however, was just one of Raskin’s deceptions: The ranking member of the House Oversight Committee also falsely suggested the CHS’s allegations were related to the investigation of information Rudy Giuliani had unearthed of the Biden family corruption in Ukraine.

Not so, according to an individual familiar with the investigation who told The Federalist that the CHS and the FD-1023 summary of his statement were both “unrelated to Rudy Giuliani” and “not derived” from any information Giuliani provided. This corroborates the House Oversight Committee’s representation that the June 30, 2020, FD-1023 “stands on its own” and was not part of the documents Giuliani provided the FBI in January 2020.

In fact, according to the House Oversight Committee, the FD-1023 in question “contains information from the FBI’s confidential human source dating back to another FD-1023 generated in 2017,” which completely removes Giuliani from the mix.

Raskin’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

But this commencement ceremony had yet another bizarre interruption that wasn’t the fault of Joe Biden tripping or getting lost on stage, again.

During the PBS coverage of the event, after Joe Biden was introduced, the live-feed mysteriously cuts to sound clip (with sporadic video) of President Trump talking about stuffing the ballot boxes and mail-in ballot fraud, as disclosed in 2000Mules. President Trump is cut off as he is talking about the importance of “free elections”.

LEAK: Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows Testified to Grand Jury in Special Counsel Witch Hunt

Another day, another Trump probe leak from the DOJ.

Meanwhile, there are ZERO leaks from the special prosecutor investigating Joe Biden’s stolen classified documents.

Trump’s former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows testified to the grand jury in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s witch hunt, according to a leak to the New York Times.

It is unclear whether Meadows answered questions about the classified documents probe or Trump’s efforts to challenge the 2020 election.

The New York Times reported:

Mark Meadows, the final White House chief of staff under President Donald J. Trump and a potentially key figure in inquiries related to Mr. Trump, has testified before a federal grand jury hearing evidence in the investigations being led by the special counsel’s office, according to two people briefed on the matter.

Mr. Meadows is a figure in both of the two distinct lines of inquiry being pursued by the special counsel appointed to oversee the Justice Department’s scrutiny of Mr. Trump, Jack Smith.

One inquiry is focused on Mr. Trump’s efforts to cling to power after losing the 2020 election, culminating in the attack by a pro-Trump mob on the Capitol during congressional certification of the Electoral College results on Jan. 6, 2021. The other is an investigation into Mr. Trump’s handling of hundreds of classified documents after he left office and whether he obstructed efforts to retrieve them.

It is not clear precisely when Mr. Meadows testified or if investigators questioned him about one or both of the cases.

The damaging leaks have really ramped up this week as a decision whether to indict Trump looms.

More than 20 members of Trump’s Secret Service security detail have been subpoenaed in Jack Smith’s investigation into classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago, according to a leak to the New York Times.

The Secret Service agents recently appeared before the Washington DC grand jury.

Special Counsel Jack Smith has also summoned witnesses linked to Trump’s classified documents case to testify before a FLORIDA grand jury!

Jack Smith and his team of prosecutors are currently presenting evidence in the classified documents case to a DC grand jury.

However, according to leaks to the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg, Jack Smith is now pursuing possible indictments against Mar-a-Lago staffers or Trump aides in Florida!

Bloomberg noted evidence collected from the grand jury in Florida may be used in the DC case against Trump.

The FBI aided a Ukrainian intelligence effort to ban Twitter users and collect their data, new leaks show. Twitter declined to censor journalists targeted by Ukraine, including The Grayzone’s Aaron Maté.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has aided a Ukrainian intelligence effort to censor social media users and obtain their personal information, leaked emails reveal.

In March 2022, an FBI Special Agent sent Twitter a list of accounts on behalf of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Ukraine’s main intelligence agency. The accounts, the FBI wrote, “are suspected by the SBU in spreading fear and disinformation.” In an attached memo, the SBU asked Twitter to remove the accounts and hand over their user data.

The Ukrainian government’s FBI-enabled targets extend to members of the media. The SBU list that the FBI provided to Twitter included my name and Twitter profile. In its response to the FBI, Twitter agreed to review the accounts for “inauthenticity” but raised concerns about the inclusion of me and other “American and Canadian journalists.”

The FBI’s attempt to ban Twitter accounts at the request of Ukrainian intelligence is among the most overt requests for censorship revealed to date in the Twitter Files, a cache of leaked communications from the social media giant.

The FBI’s censorship request was relayed in a March 27th, 2022 email from FBI Special Agent Aleksandr Kobzanets, the Assistant Legal Attaché at the US Embassy in Kyiv, to two Twitter executives. Four FBI colleagues were copied on the exchange.

“Thank you very much for your time to discuss the assistance to Ukraine,” Kobzanets wrote. “I am including a list of accounts I received over a couple of weeks from the Security Service of Ukraine. These accounts are suspected by the SBU in spreading fear and disinformation. For your review and consideration.”

Some parents in Connecticut are up in arms over a Pride Month video that was shown to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders; one of the scenes features a child revealing, "I never really felt like a boy, and I don’t really feel like a girl, so I’d rather be both."

What are the details?

Some parents whose children attend Wells Road Intermediate School in Granby argued that they should have been told about the video before their children were shown it, WFSB-TV reported.

What's more, some parents said their children are too young to learn about the topics like gender, the station said, adding that parents should be the ones to have such discussions if they so choose.

The video shows children describing what Pride Month means to them, WFSB said.

“Pride means you should be able to be free," a participant named Simon — who uses he/they pronouns, said in the clip. "All my life I never really felt like a boy, and I don’t really feel like a girl, so I’d rather be both."

Parents told the station the day the video was shown at school, their kids got home and told them about it.

"When I saw the video, I was extremely disturbed," parent Kyle Reyes noted to WFSB. "These are conversations that, if anyone's going to have with … kids, it should be parents having them with [their] kids."

Reyes added to the station that he's pulling his four children — all of them under the age of 9 — out of the district over the video.

WFSB showed the video to a mother who was in the school pickup line Monday: “They needed to get parents’ permissions to show their children that. We should’ve been told so we can have a conversation at home and not be thrown off guard this way.”

Stephen Davis was picking up his 8-year-old granddaughter and told the station that "there was nothing warning us" and that children "don’t have to worry about being an adult when they’re 8 years old."

What did the district have to say?

The superintendent’s office said parental concerns are being dealt with internally — and that the video was designed for 2-to-12-year-old students, WFSB reported.

The station said it obtained a letter from Wells Road principal Pauline Greer sent to parents over the issue: “It certainly was not intended to alienate or disturb any child. In context, we were trying to remind students that it is ok to be who you are and still be treated with respect dignity, and kindness.”

Reyes noted to WFSB that "parents are starting to come out of the woodwork, and it’s time to start fighting back."

Disgraced former NSW Labor minister Milton Orkopoulos has been rushed to hospital with head, body and leg injuries after being bashed in jail.

Corrective Services NSW said its officers discovered the 65-year-old with suspected head injuries at Long Bay's Metropolitan Special Programs Centre, in south Sydney, at about 12.15pm on Tuesday.

'A 65-year-old inmate received treatment in hospital following an assault at the Metropolitan Special Programs Centre,' they told the Sydney Morning Herald.

'Corrective Services NSW takes great care to determine appropriate security classifications and placements for inmates to maintain the safety and security of our prisons.'

It's understood Orkopoulos received treatment for head, leg and body injuries at the Prince of Wales Hospital, where he remained on Wednesday.

NSW Police are investigating the incident.

Orkopoulos was being held in the prison while awaiting sentencing after he was found guilty of 26 charges relating to the sexual abuse of four young boys in the Lake Macquarie region and on NSW's Mid North Coast from 1993 to 2003.

He was found guilty of 11 counts of intercourse with a child, six counts of indecent assault, two counts of an act of indecency and seven counts of supplying a prohibited drug.

He was also found not guilty of lone counts of supplying a prohibited drug and perverting the course of justice.

Orkopoulos was previously jailed in 2008 for 13 years and eight months on similar charges.

He was found guilty of 28 charges, including eight counts of homosexual intercourse with a minor and 13 counts of supplying cannabis, relating to three then-teenage boys.

“Russian terrorists,” said Zelenskyy. “The destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam only confirms for the whole world that they must be expelled from every corner of Ukrainian land. However, Russia denied the allegation and blamed shelling by the Ukrainian army.
