Fox News says Tucker Carlson violated his contract with Twitter show

Carlson's attorney Bryan Freedman told the outlet that the network's efforts to halt his Twitter show would brush up against his First Amendment rights.

Fox News has informed attorneys for former network personality Tucker Carlson that he breached his contract with the network by launching his own show on Twitter.

"This evening we were made aware of Mr. Tucker Carlson’s appearance on Twitter in a video that lasted over 10 minutes," reads the letter, which Axios obtained. "Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, Mr. Carlson’s 'services shall be completely exclusive to Fox.'"

The letter quotes the former host's contract, which says he is "prohibited from rendering services of any type whatsoever, whether 'over the internet via streaming or similar distribution, or other digital distribution whether now known or hereafter devised.'"

The network parted ways with Carlson earlier this year in the aftermath of a $787 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, which had sued the network for defamation.

Carlson on Tuesday posted the first episode of his Twitter show to the social media platform. The roughly 10-minute clip mostly focused on the recent destruction of the Nova Kakhova dam in Southern Ukraine, which Carlson suggested was likely the result of a Ukrainian operation.

The letter sets up a likely legal battle between the parties. Carlson's attorney Bryan Freedman told the outlet that the network's efforts to halt his Twitter show would brush up against his First Amendment rights.

"Fox defends its very existence on freedom of speech grounds. Now they want to take Tucker Carlson’s right to speak freely away from him because he took to social media to share his thoughts on current events," Freedman said.

Hunter Biden last month appeared in court to lower his $20,000 per month child support payments to the mother of his 4-year-old lovechild.

The judge was furious that Hunter hid vital information about his art sales.

A paternity test confirmed Hunter Biden indeed fathered a child with former DC stripper, Lunden Roberts.

Hunter’s daughter, Navy Joan, is now 4 years old and he has yet to meet her.

Joe Biden still hasn’t even acknowledged his own granddaughter.

Judge Holly Meyer blasted Hunter’s lawyers last month and demanded transparency.

“The ability to redact is somewhat being abused,” the judge said.

The judge demanded Hunter Biden answer questions about income from his art sales and other business deals.

Hunter’s lawyer told the judge he doesn’t know the identities of the people who purchased Hunter Biden’s art.

The judge threatened to issue a subpoena to the art gallery to find out who purchased the art and the value of the paintings.

According to court papers, the judge threatened to put Hunter Biden in jail for 6 months if he doesn’t appear in court next month to answer Lunden Roberts’ questions about his finances.

An Arkansas judge has threatened to jail Hunter Biden, unless he appears in court to answer questions about his finances and more as part of a child support lawsuit over his 4 year-old daughter, court papers show.

Circuit Judge Holly Meyer issued a court order on Monday directing Biden to come to court in Batesville, Arkansas, next month to be questioned by his daughter’s mother’s lawyer, Clint Lancaster, and produce his bank statements from 2013.

Lunden Roberts, the mother of Biden’s daughter, accused the first son of ignoring the judge’s order to respond to her questions related to her support lawsuit against him, including producing his bank statements, court papers state.

She has also accused Biden of “living lavishly” and mischaracterizing his income and financial situation.

He must now appear at Independence County Circuit Court on July 10 to face Lancaster’s questioning, and produce evidence, including his bank statements.

CEO of TRUTH Social announces that the app has opened up globally

Former California Congressman and current CEO of TRUTH Social Devin Nunes announced Wednesday that the app has launched globally.

"We've created a system that is a bulwark against big tech," Nunes said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "We're not reliant on any big tech–other than we have to be in the Google Play Store and in the Apple App Store. But we have no problem with that because we want to have a clean platform and now we are opened up globally."

TRUTH Social is former President Donald Trump's social media platform that serves an alternate to other social sites.

Some such platforms, such as Facebook, have been accused of stealing, selling, or otherwise mishandling users' data, but Nunes said that is not the case with TRUTH.

"We're not looking to sell anyone's data and I think that's the main thing."

"The other big issue is that we have a simple timeline. We understand that your timeline is your timeline," he said, referencing social media algorithms.

Nunes also discussed the new feature on the app that allows users to join groups that interest them.

"In the last few weeks, we've also launched groups, the group function which gives us a lot more capability," he concluded.
