Block 7 Big Tax Hikes in CA

June 15 is the deadline for passage of California’s state and local budgets, and if liberal state politicians get their way, they will push through a mountain of costly and unfair tax hikes!

Every year we mount a valiant fight to oppose all these tax hikes, but inevitably a few get approved each year. We can’t keep playing this losing game of “whack-a-mole” with CA’s tax-raising politicians.

That’s why your help is needed in our campaign to win the YES vote to pass the California Taxpayer Protection Initiative in 2024.

The California Taxpayer Initiative will retroactively repeal any tax hike imposed after Jan. 2022 and change the rules going forward to block at least 7 of these taxes that state politicians are trying to impose.

  1. Savings Tax: Creates a new tax to go after your investments and bank accounts

 

  1. Income/Payroll Taxes: One proposed tax hike costs $16k per household

 

  1. Gross Receipts Tax: Businesses would be taxed on their transactions, not just their income.

 

  1. Exit Tax: To punish those that flee the state

 

  1. Mileage Tax: 6 cents per mile you drive – or $900 per driver per year

 

  1. Utility Tax: Based on your income – higher rates if you “earn too much”

 

  1. Local sales and property tax hikes: we’ve counted over 100 of those statewide
