One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself—and us, too, while you’re at it!”

But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die? 41 We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Jesus only saves one of the thieves, the one not mocking him but bowing down. Seems just to me.

I am a little curious. Here it seems like personal guilt. One guy saved, other not saved.

What do you think Jesus would have done if it was about people treating him nicely and others treating him badly in another situation? let´s say in a chess club. let´s assume Jesus plays chess with others and some of them treat him badly every time. do you think Jesus would still judge them personally? I think Jesus would after some time expect that the nice guys throw the ones attacking him out of the club so he continues to visit and play. and I guess that would also be personal judgement, bc in this case the good guys have gotten bad by not doing good.

makes sense to you?
