Tesla Founder and owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, warned earlier this week that the Department of Justice may lose public trust with the recent indictment of former President Donald Trump.

“There does seem to be far higher interest in pursuing Trump compared to other people in politics,” Musk wrote in a Twitter post Thursday in response to a post about the indictment.

“Very important that the justice system rebut what appears to be differential enforcement or they will lose public trust," the post concluded.

Trump announced the indictment earlier this week on TRUTH Social, calling it a "dark day" in American history.

The former president is facing a total of 37 felony counts, including conspiracy to obstruct and destruction and falsification of records.

His indictment has caused GOP figures and elected officials to speak out, calling the indictment the result of a "two-tiered justice system."

"These charges are unprecedented and it’s a sad day for our country, especially in light of what clearly appears to be a two-tiered justice system where some are selectively prosecuted, and others are not," Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin tweeted.

GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has vowed if elected in 2024 to pardon former President Trump.

“It would be much easier for me to win this election if Trump weren’t in the race, but I stand for principles over politics,” Ramaswamy wrote on Twitter. “I commit to pardon Trump promptly on January 20, 2025 and to restore the rule of law in our country.”

NEW YORK (AP) — Jena Antonucci turned a Triple Crown marred by thoroughbred deaths on the track and threatened by bad air quality from wildfires in Canada into a celebration for racing and women.

Arcangelo took the lead at the top of the stretch and won the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, making the 47-year-old Antonucci the first female trainer to win a Triple Crown race.

After the horse crossed the finish line, Antonucci doubled over and rested her arm and her head on the back of a chair. She kissed the horse on the nose when it returned to the area in front of the winner’s circle.

“When we were walking out, I said there is not a table made for you,” she said. “You make the table. You put great people around you, you work hard. Work your tail off. It will come if you do it the right way. Do it the right way.”
