GBI: Man cuts off ankle monitor, keeps sending out child porn on social media
A Georgia man convicted of distributing child porn was allegedly discovered committing the same crime while awaiting trial.
The investigation began in Aug. 2018, when the Georgia Bureau of Investigation received a tip that a Facebook user was distributing suspected child sexual abuse material through Facebook Messenger.
The GBI learned that the user of the Facebook account lived in Carlton, Madison County, Georgia.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Middle District of Georgia, investigators conducted a search warrant at 35-year-old Christopher Snow’s home. Investigators reportedly found multiple electronic devices that Snow kept in a padlocked room.
The investigation revealed that the electronic devices, including the phone that was found on Snow during the search warrant, reportedly contained over 45 images and 17 videos of child porn.
Officials said the material contained images of children under the age of 12.

Recently, after much anticipation, The White House released a document setting out its comprehensive strategy to combat the scourge of antisemitism which has become impossible to ignore.
Much was said and written about the document; many were happy with it, others not. Everyone wishes something in particular had been included, deleted, amplified or adjusted. But I doubt there has ever been anything this significant or comprehensive in the fight against antisemitism in writing from an administration before.
And we do need something significant, even if the document fails to please everyone. Personally, I would welcome some changes, but given the range of constituencies involved, I believe this is an excellent start and a strong commitment. Time will tell, and I am optimistic about the outcome.

Seven Supreme Court justices released their financial disclosure reports last week, revealing how they made extra income in 2022.
Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Elena Kagan both earned extra income by renting out properties — though the properties are vastly different.
According to Roberts' report, shared online by SCOTUSblog, Roberts rented out cottages in Ireland's Limerick County and Maine's Knox County.
Kagan, meanwhile, rented out a parking space at a building in Washington, DC, according to her report, also shared by SCOTUSblog.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor earned income on a rental property with a New York apartment, according to her report. NPR reported that Sotomayor bought the apartment and lived in it before she joined the Supreme Court.
The reports don't reveal how much the justices earned through their rental properties in 2022.
The Supreme Court did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.
All of the justices except Justice Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito released their 2022 financial disclosures last week under the Ethics in Government Act. Thomas and Alito had been granted extensions.
Thomas was harshly criticized after a ProPublica report earlier this year revealed that he went on multiple undisclosed vacations with billionaire GOP donor Harlan Crow.
