I can see your point there. I do not believe, however, that newfags should be treated as another class of anons. Unity, not division.

This is true. I do not, however, see the reason for the removal of an entire set of optional tools simply to force everyone to slough through tons of spam (see where this differs? A choice vs an enforcement).
I find removing available tools wrong on the principle that it is not an enforced tool but entirely optional. If detractors try to have unwary people filter things their interest group does not like, well the anons can (as you said) "choose not to read it with their fucking brains", right?
