Ezekiel 28:20 The word of the Lord came to me: 21 โ€œSon of man, set your face toward Sidon, and prophesy against her 22 and say, Thus says the Lord God:

โ€œBehold, I am against you, O Sidon,

and I will manifest my glory in your midst.

And they shall know that I am the Lord

when I execute judgments in her

and manifest my holiness in her;

23

for I will send pestilence into her,

and blood into her streets;

and the slain shall fall in her midst,

by the sword that is against her on every side.

Then they will know that I am the Lord.

24 โ€œAnd for the house of Israel there shall be no more a brier to prick or a thorn to hurt them among all their neighbors who have treated them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the Lord God.

EZ KIEL.

Matthew 14:22-33

English Standard Version

Jesus Walks on the Water

22 Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 23 And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24 but the boat by this time was a long way[a] from the land,[b] beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night[c] he came to them, walking on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, โ€œIt is a ghost!โ€ and they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, โ€œTake heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.โ€

28 And Peter answered him, โ€œLord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.โ€ 29 He said, โ€œCome.โ€ So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind,[d] he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, โ€œLord, save me.โ€ 31 Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, โ€œO you of little faith, why did you doubt?โ€ 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, โ€œTruly you are the Son of God.โ€

On her way to work one morning

Down the path alongside the lake

A tender-hearted woman saw a poor half-frozen snake

His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew

โ€œOh well,โ€ she cried, โ€œI'll take you in and I'll take care of youโ€

โ€œTake me in oh tender woman

Take me in, for heaven's sake

Take me in oh tender woman,โ€ sighed the snake

She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvature of silk

And then laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk

Now she hurried home from work that night as soon as she arrived

She found that pretty snake she'd taken in had been revived

โ€œTake me in, oh tender woman

Take me in, for heaven's sake

Take me in oh tender woman,โ€ sighed the snake

Now she clutched him to her bosom, โ€œYou're so beautiful,โ€ she cried

โ€œBut if I hadn't brought you in by now you might have diedโ€

Now she stroked his pretty skin and then she kissed and held him tight

But instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious bite

โ€œTake me in, oh tender woman

Take me in, for heaven's sake

Take me in oh tender woman,โ€ sighed the snake

โ€œI saved you,โ€ cried that woman

โ€œAnd you've bit me even, why?

You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to dieโ€

โ€œOh shut up, silly woman,โ€ said the reptile with a grin

โ€œYou knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in

โ€Take me in, oh tender woman

Take me in, for heaven's sake

Take me in oh tender woman,โ€œ sighed the snake
