Why were Haiti children in demand?

After the earthquake , they were vulnerable and available, the orphanages were raided.

Many children were already displaced from their parents before the earthquake. Working for other families that could afford to feed them.

But, if Q is saying that they were in demand before the earthquake, then the earthquake was in fact, man made and the purpose was to raid the country,,,of its children?!
