Luna argues that his behavior represents a betrayal of public trust and undermines the integrity of the legislative process.
âRepresentative Schiff exploited his position on HPSCI (House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence) to promote and excuse abusive intelligence investigations of Americans for political purposes,â Luna declared, making clear her indignation over the actions of her colleague.
âThe American taxpayers shelled out $32 million to fund an investigation into collusion launched as a result of Representative Schiffâs lies, misrepresentations, and abuses of sensitive information,â said Luna.

Federal Reserve maintains interest rates after 10 straight hikes to combat inflation
The bank expressed confidence in the banking system after three major U.S. bank collapses this year.
The Federal Reserve Bank on Wednesday maintained interest rates at the range of 5%-5.25% after having raised rates 10 times straight in an effort to combat inflation.
The Fed said it may raise interest rates again this year, as inflation showed an increase in May of 4% compared to what it was a year ago at this time, which is twice the target rate.
"Holding the target range steady at this meeting allows the Committee to assess additional information and its implications for monetary policy," the Fed said.Â

Bud Light, top US seller since 2001, loses sales crown to Modelo as backlash continues
After more than two decades as Americaâs best-selling beer, Bud Light has slipped into second place.
Modelo Especial, a Mexican lager, overtook Bud Light in U.S. retail dollar sales in the month ending June 3, according to Nielsen data analyzed by Bump Williams Consulting. Modelo controlled 8.4% of U.S. grocery, convenience and liquor store sales; Bud Light fell to 7.3%.
Itâs a milestone in the months-long sales decline Bud Light has experienced since early April, when critics vowed to boycott the brand after it sent a commemorative can to Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer. Bud Light has also faced backlash from Mulvaneyâs fans, who think the brand didnât do enough to support her.
Dave William, Bump Williamsâ vice president of analytics and insights, said Bud Light has been the top-selling U.S. beer since 2001, and it could still retain that crown this year. He noted that Bud Lightâs year-to-date market share of 9% is still outpacing Modeloâs, at 8%. And Bud Lightâs sales volumes are higher.

Theranos founder objects to $250 monthly restitution sought by US due to limited financial resources
WASHINGTON (AP) â Federal prosecutors want Elizabeth Holmes to pay $250 each month to victims of her failed blood testing startup after she leaves prison, but her attorneys are pushing back citing âlimited financial resourcesâ available to the disgraced founder of Theranos.
The U.S. filed a motion last week asking the court to correct âclerical errorsâ which included, prosecutors said, the lack of a timeline for restitution from the one-time billionaire once she exits prison. Holmesâ legal team objected to those changes this week.

Holmes, 39, began an 11-year sentence at a minimum-security facility in Bryan, Texas, late last month after she and her former partner, Ramesh âSunnyâ Balwani, were convicted of fraud for duping investors out of hundreds of millions of dollars while running Theranos, a Silicon Valley startup that promised to revolutionize health care.
In a May 16 ruling, U.S. District Judge Edward Davila ordered Holmes and Balwani, who is serving a nearly 13-year prison sentence in California, to pay $452 million in restitution to victims.

Sanctions are âself harmâ â Norwegian professor to RT
The Westâs anti-Russian policies are driving the rest of the world toward increased cooperation, Glenn Diesen has said
Western sanctions on Russia have opened up new opportunities for the country to develop its economic links with the rest of the globe, accelerating the decline of the unipolar, American-led world order, Norwegian political scientist Glenn Diesen told RT on Wednesday.
Speaking to RT at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Diesen declared that âa lot of the economic power in the world is now shifting.â Forums like the SPIEF âinitially began with Russia trying to seek investments and economic cooperation with Western countries,â he continued. âNow [the SPIEF] is an instrument to reach out to the rest of the world.â
Thousands of delegates from more than 100 countries are expected to attend the forum, which runs from Wednesday to Saturday in a city once considered Russiaâs gateway to the Western world. This year will see a significant number of guests come from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov stated on Tuesday.
