This may be big. While digging on Ubisoft and the Guillermot brothers, I found Ubisoft and one of the brothers' other ventures Gameloft experienced aggressive take over attempts by Vivendi Universal. Gameloft takeover was successful but Ubisoft fended them off this year. Vivendi largest shareholder was Edgar Bronfman Jr who is Clare Bronfman's half brother.

Vivendi is connected with a fuck ton of corporations and stems from a water company called Compagnie Generale des Eaux, founded by Napoleon III in 1853.

Vivendi owns Canal+ Group, Universal music group, had a majority share of Activision Blizzard until mid 2013(NSA and Brits spied on WoW players), Havas advertising & PR, Gameloft, Dailymotion, Veolia transport, Veolia environmental, Maroc Telecom, and more.

Has connections/part ownership with GE, NBC Universal, Newsworld International (which it sold to Joel Hyatt and Al Gore), Spiralfrog, Sierra Entertainment, Vodafone, Telecom Italia, SFX Entertainment,  Paddington Bear, and Mediaset.

Basically they're like an evil corporation from a spy movie…
