Close prediction. Impressive that they got the location correct within that short period of time, but the severity was way off.
Magnitudes are hard to predict, but the earth is like a giant "bell", and when something goes off, the low frequency vibrations can actually be "heard' by the inner ear…like a tuning fork being held up against your ear. I imagine the stronger the "tuning fork" sound, the higher magnitude the EQ maybe. Take into account the animals that can sense an EQ before it happens, and then they run off to higher ground. Many instances of Elephants taking children to higher ground in 2004 Christmas EQ and Tsunami.

In August 2003, I was on the Hopi Reservation and when Mars was the closest…I saw the most spectacular UFO sighting ever!
That's why I am going back to Hopi at the end of July. But this time I am bringing my smartphone and a camera!
