Company named Ocean Gate has crappy private sub named Titan and a old icebreaker/tender now named Polar Prince. Charges $250k per person to go down to see wreck of RMS Titanic. Supposed to take 2 hours to get to wreck from surface, 1 hour 45 min into dive Polar Prince loses contact with sub. Polar Prince waits 8 hours, reports prob with sub to Canadian Coast Guard, stays in place.
Ships coming in with special gear to help, wreck depth 12,500 feet, pitch black down there. Sonobuoys detected some sounds, so those are to get checked out by ROV
Sub Titan advertised 96 hours of available air, which runs out approx 7:08 AM (less than six hours as I type this)

The French L'ATALANTE is headed back towards where POLAR PRINC is standing by at the Titanic wreck site at her max speed. It looks to me like there was a meet-up with another ship earlier, not enough time to drop that Victor 6000 and then recover it
