>>1903147 (pb #2397) How Comey intervened to kill Assange Immunity Deal

Anons….I don't know what to think of this narrative.

I just found DOJ policy that says Comey had no business sticking his nose in the Assange deal!

CI Guidelines § II.C.1.

In addition, if applicable, the case agent must add the following instructions:

the FBI on its own cannot promise or agree to any immunity from prosecution or other consideration by a Federal Prosecutor's Office or a Court in exchange for the CI's cooperation, since the decision to confer any such benefit lies within the exclusive discretion of the Federal Prosecutor's Office and the Court. However, the FBI will consider, but not necessarily act upon, a request by the CI to advise the appropriate Federal Prosecutor's Office or Court of the nature and extent of his or her assistance to the FBI;

>Comey didn't make the deal. But he and Warner stepped in and ended it.

No the article says, "While the negotiations survived the Warner-Comey intervention, the episode sowed distrust in Assange’s camp."

Wouldn't Assange have retained an attorney familiar with Confidential Informant procedures? This isn't adding up.
