Well, now that I think about it,money didn't seem to be an issue so why buy a rickety pseudo sub if you can buy a legit one, except buying a legit one might involve legal paperwork. There is also the possibility that why buy one when you can have two? Sleight of hand can be useful at times. Just thinking out loud.
A sub is a sub. The waters around Epstein island aren't as deep generally as the Atlantic I don't think, besides, they really don't need to go very deep anyway if they are just running contraband.
