Sometimes the addicts and alcoholics have no self control or internal guidance system and AA keeps them on track. I work at a drug and alcohol treatment center and I hate those meetings, but some guys need it, and keeping them believing in a Higher Power or going to Church it helps.
What is funny is the facility I work at NEVER Mandated the vaxx, people got it if they wanted and those were the people who missed the most time sick. Also if Covid was present on any patients it was an extra 5.00$ an hour "Hazard" pay. Basically 3 rooms were designated COVID rooms that could hold 12 people. 3 units so it was possible to hold 36 COVID positive patients. When I talk to the patients I try and get them to think , Why hasn't there been a new variant since Omicrom? It was supposedly mutating every couple weeks then Boop nothing. I am seeing more and more people waking up. Almost everything is a cult, people say "Q" and this board is a cult. A church people volunteer at could be a cult, Joel Olsteen and his mega church could be. Fuck it join a cult, just keep your senses to walk away if you need to.
