If Putin deals quickly and decisively with the traitors (as happened in Saudi Arabia) then people in the US wall want the same action taken against the (now) obvious levels of corruption at all levels of govt which are going unpunished.
That's how I think this fits in with the plan.
Trump said recently that when he returns he will be able to do much more (take more drastic action) than he would have been able to do in his first term because the people as a whole will be on board.
