Wagner may be DS and too powerful and corrupt from the start so they were sent out to fight in promise of a big payday and lauded as heroes, only instead finding their forces and resources weakened.
Perhaps they figured it out when not receiving adequate support and will now be taken down while weak and divided. (The security forces at their HQ is interesting).
Their only recourse finding anyone who will ally with them, feeling betrayed.
Well…Russia has had immense corruption after the fall so this would not be surprising to find a powerful rogue element.
