An update from DES Chief David Stamey: The Montana Department of Transportation has shut down Twin Bridges Road at Reed Point until further notice. The time of the bridge collapse was approximately 6 a.m.. No cause has been determined yet but multiple local, state and federal agencies are on scene.
The rail cars were carrying asphalt and molten sulfur.
Also, from FWP, parts of the Yellowstone and Stillwater rivers have been closed on request of Stillwater County authorities.
The Stillwater River is closed from White Bird Fishing Access to the confluence of the Yellowstone.
The Yellowstone River is closed from Pelican Fishing Access to Buffalo Mirage Fishing access.
