A lightening strike will leave very small, perfectly round holes in the fuselage. Why? Fuck if I know. The aircraft has to be removed from service and gone over with a fine tooth comb by maintenance. Takes a while. Have taken strikes in the air but never had one on the ground. Pretty rare.
