I'm sure people realize Hunter is an exception of exceptions. Like, probably in the .01% of the worst of the worst.
But yes, it does happen. Good parenting and building a healthy relationship with your kids will stave off a lot of issues, but those kids will be who they choose regardless of rearing. There's some old wisdom about "teach 'em young, and they'll return when they are old", but it doesn't always work, and parents aren't 100% of a person's influence, growing up, regardless of how much you helicopter the shit out of them.
