>Looks like the street urchin from Leningrad cashed out thanks to the DoD/CIA, and then bailed out on Vladimir Putin. A win/win.

>I hear Belarus is awesome this time of year… and even Vladimir Putin has got to admit it was all well-played.

>Well done, Yevgeny…. well done. Enjoy your retirement.

I'll bet that bullion is setting alongside Russia's other gold reserves and Yevgeny has a pretty much unlimited credit line in Belarus to go with his new Dacha, Mercedes and staff. Maybe a billion or so in Rubles for walking money.

>#OTD in 1987, Stanley Kubrick's FULL METAL JACKET

R. Lee Ermey was a drill instructor in India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, where he was assigned from 1965 to 1967.

I enlisted and was a recruit in Lima Co. in 1966. His duty hut was near ours. The Quonset huts next to the runway. He was a fine Marine and the envy of all those who marched troops. No one called cadence like he did.
