Because anonymity is enforced here, there is no way to have what you want, AND anonymity, at the same time.

This places an extraordinary burden on the BO. I would understand why they could be against this.
The reason for that is because there have already been several attempts to split the board via attacks on the BO and BV's.
Tasking them with whitelisting rando bakers would just open up another attack vector for attempted board splits.
