funny thing about the moon when it totally eclipses the sun. it can't be photographed, it should be backlit as it begins to eclipse the sun but it isn't. it can't be seen with any lens using any kind of filter.
another funny thing and very cool and mysterious: find a tree that casts a shadow on a blank wall. as the sun is eclipsed every leafs shadow will be eclipsed individually. a bite is taken out of every shadow.
