'' Just when you thought Elon Musk had already made Twitter more fun, it’s about to get a whole lot more thrilling. Former President Donald Trump is reportedly preparing to return to the platform. When this happens, it will have tremendous ramifications for the world of American politics. Better buckle in, folks.''

 

Shortly after Musk took over Twitter, he restored Trump’s account, which had been suspended because the left was pretending he was responsible for inciting the J6 riot in 2021. Since then, Trump was largely absent from social media until he created Truth Social, a conservative-leaning platform.

 

Now, reports suggest that the Orange Man What Is Bad™ might be ready to return to trigger Democrats once again:

 

It may take a while, but former President Trump has entertained the idea of returning to his happy place on Twitter, where he’s been absent for nearly 2 1/2 years, sources tell Axios.

 

Why it matters: Trump still has nearly 87 million followers on Twitter but hasn’t posted there since he was banned after the Jan. 6 riot in 2021. Now a growing number of Trump allies — and some close to his campaign — are expecting him to tweet again.

 

For more than a year, Trump has been blasting his thoughts to some 5 million followers on Truth Social, where he is the majority owner and has a financial incentive to keep the rage flowing.

Journalists, drawn to Trump’s Twitter-like cats to catnip, will amplify his messages, contributing to the continuous coverage of his statements and creating a substantial impact on public discourse. They won’t be able to help themselves. Members of the activist media just can’t quit the Orange Man What Is Bad™.
