Joe Biden will announce a new plan on student loans after the US Supreme Court crushed his unconstitutional forgiveness plan.

Joe Biden unilaterally announced a massive forgiveness of student loans last August to buy the Gen Z-Millennial vote in the 2022 midterms.

Biden canceled over $400 billion in student loans which turns out to be up to $10,000 in student debt for borrowers who earn $125,000 a year or less and up to $20,000 for recipients of Pell Grants.

Six Republican state attorneys general sued Joe Biden (Biden v Nebraska) and argued the student loan bailout violates the separation of powers.

Separately, two borrowers who did not qualify for Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan (Department of Education v Brown) sued to stop the program.

The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Biden v Nebraska that Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness was unlawful.

Biden said he’s not done fighting for student loan borrowers.

A mother claims her son was banned from wearing shorts to school - despite there being a heatwave - and was told he could opt for a skirt instead.

Toni Hurst from Stockport says she was baffled when Hazel Grove High School told her that Tom Foster, 13, would be put in isolation if he didn't follow the rules.

She explained that a member of staff initially told her that 'boys are free to wear skirts instead of long trousers' over the phone.

The mother-of-four added that the school elaborated on the issue in a meeting the following day.

'They said they can wear their PE kits, which have shorts, once it's over 30 degrees, but there's no policy stating that,' Toni said.

But prosecutors may also choose to bring additional charges against Mr Trump in a different venue, depending on how they feel the case they have brought against him in is proceeding.

The Independent understands that prosecutors’ decision on whether to seek additional charges from a grand jury — and where to seek them — will depend in part on whether they feel the Trump-appointed district judge overseeing the case against him in the Southern District of Florida, Aileen Cannon, is giving undue deference to the twice-impeached, now twice-indicted former president.

Indiana Supreme Court upholds abortion ban, says state constitution gives only limited protections

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Supreme Court ruled Friday that the state’s abortion ban doesn’t violate the state constitution, removing a major hurdle to enforcing the ban Republicans approved last summer.

The court’s decision overturns a county judge’s ruling that the ban likely violates the state constitution’s privacy protections, which she said are stronger than those found in the U.S. Constitution. That judge’s order has allowed abortions to continue in Indiana since September, despite the ban.

An opinion from three of the court’s five justices said that while Indiana’s constitution provides some protection of abortion rights, the “General Assembly otherwise retains broad legislative discretion for determining whether and the extent to which to prohibit abortions.”

All five Indiana Supreme Court justices were appointed by Republican governors.

Republican state Attorney General Todd Rokita issued a statement praising the decision: “We celebrate this day – one long in coming, but morally justified. Thank you to all the warriors who have fought for this day that upholds LIFE.”

The Indiana ban would eliminate the licenses for all seven abortion clinics in the state and ban the vast majority of abortions even in the earliest stages of a pregnancy. It includes exceptions allowing abortions at hospitals in cases of rape or incest before 10 weeks post-fertilization. It also allows abortions up to 20 weeks to protect the life and physical health of the mother or if a fetus is diagnosed with a lethal anomaly.

Although the court’s decision strikes down the injunction blocking the ban, it wasn’t immediately clear how soon the ban would take effect. The justices returned the case to the county judge for further action, and left open the possibility of a narrower challenge to the ban.

Indiana’s abortion ban also faces a separate court challenge over claims it violates the state’s 2015 religious freedom law signed by GOP then-Gov. Mike Pence.

Three House committees to work together to investigate DOJ interference in Hunter Biden probe

In a rare and powerful collaboration, three House committees will work together to investigate whistleblower claims that the Justice Department took extraordinary steps to interfere in the criminal tax investigation of President Joe Biden's son, Rep. Jim Jordan told Just the News on Thursday evening.

Jordan, R-Ohio, said the Judiciary Committee he chairs will work along side the Oversight Committee led by Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., and the House Ways and Means Committee led by Rep. Jason Smith, R-Mo., to demand transcribed interviews from three U.S. Attorneys, DOJ tax division lawyers and FBI and IRS agents who worked the Hunter Biden case. The three sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding access to the witnesses.

"I think the Attorney General, and (Delaware U.S. Attorney) David Weiss and some of these other people that we've now asked to talk to, we're looking forward to getting the chance to interview those and see what they have to say," Jordan said during an appearance on the "Just the News, No Noise" television show.

The investigatory collaboration was prompted by explosive whistleblower testimony from IRS Supervisory Agent Gary Shapley that was released last week by the Ways and Means Committee.

Shapley led the team in the tax investigation of Hunter Biden and alleged to Congress there was significant and unusual political interference in the probe that included the denial of search warrants, the blocking of witnesses and questions and decisions by the Biden-appointed U.S. attorneys in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles to refuse to prosecute Hunter Biden on serious tax felonies dating to 2014 that had been recommended by career prosecutors.

In an interview with the John Solomon Reports podcast aired Thursday, Shapley and his lawyers elaborated on his congressional testimony, saying Hunter Biden failed to declare about $8.2 million in income and pay $2.2 million in federal taxes between 2014 and 2019, including foreign monies from the controversial Burisma Holdings energy firm in Ukraine.

"It's a pretty classic tax evasion scheme, and it was it was for the purpose of not paying taxes on this income," Shapley said, alleging Hunter Biden disguised income as loans at least related to Burisma in 2014.

Jordan said lawmakers found Shapley, a decorated 14-year veteran of major IRS cases, to be credible and his contemporaneous evidence that he gave Congress raise serious questions about the veracity of Garland's earlier testimony that Delaware prosecutor Weiss did not face interference and could bring the charges he wanted against Hunter Biden.

"Somebody's not telling the truth. And it sure doesn't look like it's the whistleblower," Jordan told Just the News.. "I think he's with the IRS like 14 years. He is credible, I think, in so many ways. He handled some of the biggest international tax fraud cases at the agency. So the things he's told us just do not correspond with what Merrick Garland said.

"Mr. Shapley was recording these after meetings, contemporaneously putting this down and memorializing this, putting this into memos, sending these emails to some of his other agents on the case. So I think he seems very, very credible, and a strong whistleblower, a strong witness," the chairman added.

US Catholic bishops issue sharp rebuke to pro-abortion Catholic members of Congress

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) issued a sharp rebuke to 31 Catholic Democratic members of Congress who have used their faith as a defense for their pro-abortion views.

"Members of Congress who recently invoked teachings of the Catholic faith itself as justifying abortion or supporting a supposed right to abortion grievously distort the faith," said the June 28th statement, which was entitled, "U.S. Bishops' President and Chairmen Rebuke Distortion of Church Teaching in Abortion Statement by Members of Congress."

The "corrective statement" was signed by USCCB President Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, and Bishops Michael Burbidge of Arlington (Virginia) and Daniel Flores of Brownsville (Texas).

Burbidge leads the USCCB's pro-life committee, while Brownsville is chairman of the conference's Committee on Doctrine.

"It is wrong and incoherent to claim that the taking of innocent human life at its most vulnerable stage can ever be consistent with the values of supporting the dignity and well-being of those in need," said the bishops.

The bishops cited the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which states that human life should be protected from conception.

"Abortion violates this with respect to preborn children and brings untold suffering to countless women," said the bishops.

The bishops were responding to a June 24 statement by Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Connecticut.

In the statement, DeLauro wrote, "We are proud that we are part of the faithful pro-choice Catholic majority — 68% of whom supported the legal protections for abortion access enshrined in Roe and 63% of whom think abortion should be legal in all or most cases."

Moms for Liberty members doxxed and threatened by protesters ahead of summit

As the Moms for Liberty summit begins in Philadelphia, members of the group have reportedly experienced doxxing and having their life threatened by trans activists who recently vandalized the American Revolution Museum.

Kit Hart, chairwoman of the Carroll County, Maryland, Moms for Liberty chapter, appeared to be threatened when a Twitter user said that she looked like a “walking candy apple,” and then proceeded to publish her address with the words “wanna play” in a tweet, per The Washington Examiner.

Hart told the outlet: “We are very blessed to live in a country with freedom of speech. People can say whatever they want, but of course, that doesn’t make it true.”

“I used to get upset by the comments people made to or about me, but I’ve learned from so many others who have been vilified to let it roll right off my back. I no longer get offended by people from whom I would never take advice. Our detractors understand that we are making massive headway, and so they’ll say whatever they think will intimidate or dissuade us.”

It appears that Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice was also threatened, with a social media user sending in a message: “Your whole fcking inbred family needs to be fcking shot, fcking NAZIS,” the message read. “Can’t wait for someone to unalive you and your fcking kids.”
