Tightening the minimum requirements to get a loan makes things worse how, exactly?
People still have access to Pell money, other grants, scholarships, etc.
Maybe, if enrollment drops enough bc too many people are unable to borrow tuition and COL $$ the cost of college will come back down to something that makes sense? Who knows? And maybe people who don't necessarily have a reason or desire for higher education won't feel compelled to spend 10's of thousands of dollars to ultimately work in a Wells Fargo call center for the rest of their adult lives.
