Why else would the Yahweh Elohim have told Noah that the rainbow was a new sign in the clouds? If the rainbow had been a phenomenon previously, it could not have been a 'new' sign. Since direct sunlight and rain droplets of a specific size and density are necessary to produce a rainbow, it is quite safe to assume that no clouds graced the skies before the Flood.
THE GREAT CLOCK
Many of the Biblical events of the past were anticipated by wise men who were astronomers as well as supporters of the Yahweh Elohim. They had been taught by the Yahweh Elohim to watch for certain star patterns in the heavens as 'event markers' in human affairs. These patterns were easily memorized as figures of people and animals formed by the stars.
It was from these times that the twelve signs of the zodiac were obtained.
In later centuries these 'star signs' would be misinterpreted by many as causes of various events and character traits in human affairs… giving birth to the pseudo-'science' of astrology. Nothing could, of course, have been farther from the truth. The Yahweh Elohim used the star patterns and their changing relationships as a mechanical means of signaling the coming of various events in His great war with Satan on Earth. Nothing Satan could do could wipe out
the star clock. The only thing he could have done was try to hide the secret of the 'star clock's' meaning from mankind or so pollute the pursuit of their true function that no serious scientist would try to find the secret for fear of ridicule. Hasn't astrology filled this role?
How do you think the 'wise men (astronomers) of the East' who 'followed the star' knew what that star meant? They had been told to watch for certain stars to be in certain formations. When such events occurred, the astronomers knew a specific event was due. The beginning of the so-called 'Age of Pisces' began at about the time of the Christ's birth… and is ending now as we enter the so-called 'Age of Aquarius'. In the Old Testament an ancient prophecy stated 'and the virgin shall conceive'. Perhaps this had a dual meaning. The constellation of Virgo (the virgin) may have been the origin of the star that led the wise men to Bethlehem where the earthly virgin had conceived. When Christ had formed His church, they adopted the sign of the fish -Pisces … (or 'ichthus' in the Greek). When Christ returns to Earth, He will give freely
of the water of everlasting Life that whosoever shall drink of it shall have eternal Life. Isn't it interesting that we are now entering the age of the water bearer Aquarius?…
