When I worked at a NOSC (navy reserve center) I had a few 60+ doctors join the Navy reserve, one was a neurosurgeon, not sure what the other person’s specialty was. Also had a mid 50s plastic surgeon join. All came in as O4/LCDR. Also watched a older psychologist die of a heart attack during Individual Augmentee training in the balmy summer weather at Fort Jackson.
