Secretary of Defense Says China Has “Killer Satellites and Directed Energy Weapons”

The US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, while speaking at the Air Force Association’s 2020 Virtual Air Space & Cyber Conference, announced new capabilities of the Chinese Military’s space program. “Directed Energy Weapons” and “Killer Satellites” were mentioned directly. Esper went on to say that China and Russia have “turned a once peaceful arena into a war fighting domain.” The Pentagon is taking these threats seriously and is no longer keeping the existence of this technology a secret.

Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) are something from science fiction that has become a true reality that every nation must reckon with. The broad term covers many kinds of weapons system but space-based DEWs will be laser style beams or pulses that are intended to cause damage on the receiving end. Varying levels of focus can change intensity and size of the impact area. Lasers and heat-effects can be used to damage all kinds of military hardware, sensitive structures, or even natural habitats. Western victims of intense fires claim unnatural origins and intense heat that’s never been witnessed before.

Satellite killers are known to have been in existence for several years. China famously demonstrated the capability in 2007 when it blew up one of its own satellites and created an enormous cloud of dangerous space debris. Satellite killers would realistically be DEWs as well. Laser attacks are more sensible with the ranges and precision necessary for orbital satellite targeting.

Photos of burnt neighborhoods where surrounding woods are left unscathed are suspicious. Intense heat melts the aluminum rims of automobiles that are burned in the fires. There are even photos of visual beams coming down from the sky. The reality of these weapons has been denied for a long time but evidence of their use has been circulating online and skeptics are now hearing official reports from the Pentagon about Chinese capabilities from orbit.

While the USA faces an unprecedented outbreak of fires along its Western coastline, reports of arson are circulating online. Those reports are being denied by the mainstream media. If a foreign actor wanted to induce conditions for wildfires with a warming-field a DEW weapon would be perfect. Intense lasers could easily start a small fire that will have undetectable origins and would be nearly impossible to prevent.
