Jailed Gaddafi’s Son Hospitalized in Lebanon Due to Hunger Strike - Reports
DOHA (Sputnik) - The son of the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has been hospitalized in critical condition due to his hunger strike at the prison of the Lebanese internal security forces, Al-Hadath TV reports citing informed sources.
Last month, Gaddafi’s son Hannibal went on a hunger strike to protest his incarceration without trial in Lebanon since 2015, his lawyer said.
Al-Hadath TV reported on Sunday that Hannibal suffered a sharp drop in his blood sugar level because of the hunger strike and was hospitalized in critical condition.
Hannibal Gaddafi was captured on the Syrian-Lebanese border after he and his family received political asylum in Syria following the assassination of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya in 2011.

Houston man found alive 8 years after he vanished as a teenager
A 25-year-old missing Houston man was reportedly found alive Saturday with cuts and bruises all over his body after he vanished as a teenager eight years ago, according to officials and family.
Rudy Farias, reported missing in 2015, was miraculously reunited with his family Saturday, the Texas Center for the Missing tweeted in a shocking update Sunday.
Farias, then 17, disappeared while he was walking his two dogs near his family’s home. While the dogs made it back home, Farias never did, according to a missing person organization.
The young man is now in the hospital after good Samaritans called 911 when they spotted him outside a church unresponsive, his mother said, according to reports.
He had cuts and bruises, and blood in his hair, she told KTRK.
His mother additionally confirmed to KPRC that her son was in “bad shape” mentally and physically, but she was grateful to have him back.

LIVE: Explosion in Shimbashi, Tokyo
An explosion has reportedly occurred in a building on the west side of the JR Shimbashi Station in Tokyo. The area is home to many offices and restaurants.
The incident reportedly took place at around 3:15 p.m. Images and videos posted on social media show a fire on the second floor of the building and fragments of glass scattered across the road.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police are investigating.
