After USS Strong was sunk #OTD in 1943, LT Hugh Miller washed up on a Japanese-held island. Though wounded, alone, and without a rifle, he launched a month-long guerrilla campaign using grenades he found. He eliminated patrols and several machine gun nests before being rescued.

I never heard about him up until a few months ago when he was plastered all over /pol/. Annoying AF.
