>Location alerts - love it. I'm assuming you'd prefer a mobile application for something like this, or web application? If you could list some reasons why, that'd be awesome!

Both mobile and web.

A mobile app with location alert capability allows crowd-sourced local intelligence gathering. The concept applies to both aggregating local news in near-real time but also to intelligence gathering with respect to monitoring tracked individuals.

If a subscriber with the app is at DFW and is following a monitored individual on the app the location alerts function could alert the subscriber that a) a monitored individual has been reported within the subscribers GEO_ZONE (Definable) or b) a monitored individual is suspected to be within the subscribers GEO_ZONE or within the subscribers voluntarily defined fixed or mobile surveillance boundaries.

The app functions by location and alerts volunteer subscribers of opportunities to become 'Agent Smith' and perform a surveillance or surveillance confirmation function for monitored individuals.

The web platform could consolidate the reports from local app subscribers and provide an environment for crowd sourced analysis. The anons assembled here have some experience at that, for example. Another example, 'Finding the flag', demonstrated the principle that a voluntary crowd-source could rapidly harness a very broad knowledge base built on individuals with many diverse backgrounds and skills.

Subscribers on the app could receive confirmation or monitoring missions for monitored individuals or be recruited to provide information on events local to their GEO-ZONE.

Web-based analysts could harvest the reports of application users and provide analysis and reporting functions.
