Saw a SPAR flight come out of Nuremberg and switch off before I could catch it. They do seem to have a very good facility there …probably a really interesting tourist destination.
People who need a warning sticker to not drink the contents of the battery are going to have a hard time adjusting points and a carburetor.
I worked on a lot of pre-1980 cars when I was younger -approached middle age and just bought new ones, took 'em in for oil changes. Didn't work in automotive industry, so like most people: Had no idea why the hell they decided cars need "an onboard computer" and all these sensors and crap.
Got a little older and decided to open the hood on an '85 Ranger I'd been abusing for years as a firewood hauler, to pay it back for so much good service and to keep it at it. 1985 was the first year the Ranger had "all that crap" known as "OBD1."
Took a bit of messing around to understand what all that electronic junk was besides just "pollution bullshit" but I finally had my moment of understanding: The sensors are sending information about how the engine is running so the computer can tune the engine in real time.
OBD1 actually is pretty crappy, because it is too simple to be very good, and this is probably why we don't see a lot of '80 to '90 vintage vehicles on the road, but I'll take an electronically-controlled system over the points and carb every time, given a choice
…EMP notwithstanding.
Points wear out relatively fast and carburetors require skillful adjustment, and always eventually leak. We have it pretty good these days.
Definitely lose the wallet in the back pocket
-and then look into a good chiropractor.
I spent my first 40 years fighting that crap, was "diagnosed" with one leg shorter than the other and told "suck it up." Married a woman with scoliosis who always used chiro, and she dragged me in. I see the chiro as needed, usually just once or twice a year -my legs are also the same damn length too …just needed a good yank.
Upfront can cost a few bucks for x-rays, so he knows how you're put together and nothing is going to pull off when he goes to work -but mine is about $60 a visit now
…small price to pay for walking upright.
You ever pull your fingers to work the kinks out?
I lay on my back and that guy leans into a yank on my leg and my hips straighten right the hell out. Used to get pinched in the sciatic and be down for a week or ten days. I get gimped now, I just wait for the inflammation to go down …go see that guy -walk out good, just lots of fluids after because it definitely breaks loose toxins in the body that have to be flushed.
Pretty sure Vegas has had its clock cleaned by now. This is circa 2018:

“Although the police had probable cause to arrest [Gordon], we found there was not sufficient evidence to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt,” the spokesperson said.
Gordon attended the hearing, but the parents of the girl did not. According to the spokesperson, the family had already been in touch with the DA’s office in hopes that the case would be dismissed.
In a statement released last month jointly by Gordon and the parents, they said, “It is now clear to all involved that this was an unfortunate misunderstanding, and we look forward to putting this matter behind us.”
