Consider the genetic survival imperative to OVER produce. Vast amounts of insects, fish, amphibians, birds, plains animals, all of them programmed to reproduce waaay beyond carrying capacity given that most will be struck down by environmental factors.
What makes humans so unique in evolutionary calculus? We're not special except for we assign some divinity to an individual "supposed" soul. Outside of that we're just bugs.
