==Ed Sheeran Pittsburgh concert sees 17 hospitalizations for 'heat-related issues'''
Seventeen people were hospitalized Saturday after seeking medical attention during Ed Sheeran's Pittsburgh concert.
"Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS personnel working during the Ed Sheeran concert received37calls for service, with17transports to the hospital," Pittsburgh's Public Safety information officer Cara Cruz wrote in a press release Sunday.
The majority of the transports "were for heat-related issues, some falls, one seizure, and two cardiac arrest patients."
The two cardiac arrest patients included a worker who was "tearing down the setup inside the stadium" and a paramedic from an outside agency who was leaving Acrisure Stadium.
Pittsburg temperatures had a high of72degrees during the day and low of62degrees, according to the Weather Channel. Humidity reached 92% by the end of the night, per World Weather.
Acrisure Stadium is an outdoor venue.
From an in-the-round stage with a constantly rotating platform that spun him around clockwise, Sheeran delivered a wonderful performance Saturday for the biggest Pittsburgh crowd he's ever entertained.
An estimated 51,000 fans surrounded the ginger-haired Englishman who for the first time is touring with a full band he utilized for one-third of the set. The electric guitar and drums brought unaccustomed firepower to the set's opening songs "Tides" and "Blow."
Dubbed the Mathematics Tour, after his "+" "-" "x" and "÷" albums, a rounded main video screen and four large secondary video screens shaped like guitar picks offered close-ups, as when revealing Sheeran's black T-shirt understatedly bore the name "Pittsburgh."
Sheeran shared a video from the concert Sunday on Instagram to the tune of his song "Afire Love," including interviews with excited fans headed in to see the show.
"Had a great time playing Pittsburgh last night, my biggest show I’ve ever played there," he captioned the post. "Really enjoyed all the dancing, and all the emotional moments. And also my terrible towel !"
